Fixed Wireless

About Fixed Wireless

Fixed Wireless is a PTMP (Point to Multipoint) and PTP (Point to Point) wireless technology that leverages licensed or unlicensed microwave frequencies to wirelessly distribute data in a network. Where access to conventional broadband technologies like DSL or Cable is either not available or otherwise inadequate, fixed wireless can be used to build broadband infrastructure to deliver internet access to residential and business locations.

TDMA (Time-Division Multiple Access) is a technology that allows fixed wireless equipment to scale beyond the abilities of standard fixed wireless protocols like WiFi, especially in outdoor environments. With the advent of MIMO (Multiple-Input Multiple-Output) and MU-MIMO technology, fixed wireless radio systems can scale beyond traditional TDD (Time Division Duplex) systems allowing WISP (Wireless Internet Service Providers) the ability to grow their wireless business to the next level.
